Stress Management Coaching
Natalie will work with you to help identify what may be triggering your stress reactions by evaluating your work, home, and spiritual life. Together, we will see where there is space for new coping strategies and then develop a solid action plan by implementing healthy boundary setting and practicing relaxation techniques for you to utilize when you start feeling overwhelmed.
Prior to our first meeting, clients will pay to take the Cerny Smith Stress Management online test at their cost – currently at $50.00. Our first in person or online meeting will go over those results for a fee of $125 and then four one-hour coaching sessions will be scheduled at $80 per hour. Additional coaching sessions may be scheduled at the client’s request.
Grief Coaching
Natalie personally understands the significant impact that losses have in every part of our life. Her responsibility will be to help you navigate through whatever deep transitions you encounter and help plan your changed life in a way that is meaningful for you. Together we will journey through dark and unknown territory by allowing you space to safely talk about your loss. Having a compassionate listener often helps us understand the wild swing of emotions that sometimes makes us feel out of control. A grief coach provides space to process thoughts and emotions that may be difficult to do with family members or friends. Our goal will be to assess what remains and then focus on helping you find meaning, purpose, and growth.
Generally, Natalie will follow a person through the first year following a significant loss, but together we will put together a schedule that the client feels most comfortable with. One-hour sessions at $80 per hour.
Spiritual Direction
As Christians, we each have moments where we know we need God, times when we feel His presence, times when His presence is barely discernable and times when we are confused and puzzled by Him. A spiritual director is a companion who helps you discern God’s constant presence in every area of life – in your relationships, your work, your pain, whatever life stage you are in, your fears, your grief and your joys. I am neither counselor nor advice giver. My task as a spiritual director is often to help you notice what is obvious but has gone unnoticed, perhaps for a long time. Together we look for opportunities to emerge enabling you to respond to God’s presence and invitations.
Spiritual Direction takes place within the context of confidential one-on-one sessions, generally once a month for the duration of one hour, although additional sessions can be scheduled at the client’s request. The first session is scheduled at 90 minutes and costs $100. All sessions thereafter will be $80 per hour.
School of Spiritual Direction
Course Description

A two year course of study that examines the practice of spiritual direction for the individual and the congregation through: reading literature; participating in small group interactions; receiving and offering spiritual direction; reflecting personal experience through reports and verbatim; developing spiritual formation experiences that can be used within the congregation; participating in peer supervision and developing a practice of spiritual direction that includes prayer models sensitive to those who have experienced trauma or who have been compromised by long term stress.
Objectives

Develop a rhythm and rule of life that attends to personal spiritual formation

Become familiar with the art of spiritual direction through classic and modern literature

Develop and hone excellent listening skills and discernment

Recognize the marks of a good spiritual director and begin to develop a personalized approach

Develop a set of basic questions to initiate and frame spiritually directed conversations

Practice spiritual direction with individuals and develop a plan or practice within the congregation

Become familiar with and practice various prayer models including some that have proven effective for those who have experienced trauma or long-term stress

The cost for the entire course of study is $3000 per person (a payment plan will be offered) . Books plus transportation, meals and lodging for 6 in person gatherings are NOT included in the cost of your program.

Trauma can happen to anyone at any time. This can affect an employee's ability to perform their job responsibilities. Soulsafe can help you support your employee's emotional and mental well-being by providing tools that can be utilized when stressors become overwhelming.

Soulsafe Basic for Business has been successfully taught in the business environment
keeping the emphasis on the physiological and psychological effects of trauma on a
victim and healthy ways to bring healing and hope into life-threatening situations. Soulsafe offers training for businesses and 1:1 coaching for individuals who need tools for stress management. Soulsafe uses the Cerny Smith Stress Assessment tool when coaching individuals for stress management.

Soulsafe Basic for Faith-Based Organizations
A crisis can happen in your congregation or community at any time to anyone. Things previously unheard of in the faith community are now commonplace – shootings, homicide, suicide, domestic violence, addictions of every sort.
Church congregations may want to help but might not know how. Soulsafe can help train members of your church to understand how to respond and pray for those experiencing the aftermath of traumatic events.
Pastors are often overtaxed in responding to the needs within their congregation. The congregation wants to help but lacks the skills and confidence to respond to people’s extreme pain.
Soulsafe Basic is a one-day workshop that educates your congregation in what happens physiologically, psychologically, and spiritually immediately following a trauma. We explore practical methods of stress reduction, when and how to best assist with emotional first aid and how to guard against secondary burnout.
Soulsafe Basic costs $30 per person with a minimum of 15 participants. Training includes all materials and is payable in advance to Soulsafe Consulting. Soulsafe Basic runs from 9am to 3pm with a half hour break for lunch. Host church determines participants workshop rate and if it will or will not include lunch or if participants will be required to bring their own lunch/snacks. It is HIGHLY recommended that participants do not leave the workshop site for refreshments. The host church agrees to cover all travel expenses incurred.

Retreat Services:
Book Natalie to be your guest speaker at your retreat. The retreat service covers 6 sessions. Natalie is also available to speak at your retreat on topics related to stress management, grieving, conflict resolution, and learning how to deeply listen to those you love.

JOURNEY WITH GOD ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR BRAIN
​
Who knew that picking up drawing pencils and a sketch pad could teach someone different ways of hearing and seeing God? This weekend retreat is taught from a Christian perspective, combines elementary drawing techniques with deepening our awareness of spiritual things. You won’t become another Picasso, but that really isn’t the point of our time together. The point is to connect you to a deeper understanding of a knowable loving God by exploring how you view others, how you view yourself and how you view the world around you. You will participate in a variety of sketching exercises as well as practice liturgical prayer, silence, Scripture meditation, and reflect on your experiences through journaling and group feedback.
